For Schools

"The great threats to human development are those that jeopardize the systems underlying these adaptive processes, including brain development and cognition, caregiver-child relationships, regulation of emotion and behavior, and the motivation for learning and engaging in the environment."

- Ann Mastens (Professor at the Institute for Child Development)

Built on leading educational and developmental research, we’re creating workshops that nurture skills that promote children’s creative capacities and resilience.  “Mistakes are the worse things you can make...”, is fallacy that we seek to change, in fact we encourage them in the name of exploration and falling forward. We use exciting creative projects as vehicle to provide children with learner-centric experiences that focus on developing resilience and motivation.

intra/Extra-Mural workshops

Pukka hosts intra- and extra-mural workshops for primary school kids that strengthens resilience and creativity through storytelling and making things. We look at igniting children's curiosity to explore and understand the world around them through our various projects and themes.

Creative Dramatics:  Kids build confidence and explore creativity through making and performing their own theatrical creations inspired by the world of theatrical story telling. We offer primary school kids 6-9 week long story-making workshops.

Creative Projects: Kids are the masters of play and curiosity. This workshop series encourages inventiveness and originality by making connections to the world around them by completing makers-projects and taking a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) approach to learning. We offer primary school kids 6-8 week long creative workshops.  LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CREATIVE PROJECTS>>

Artventures Outing at Youngblood Gallery

Children are invited into the Gallery to experience the works of local and international talent that is exhibited each month. Guided through the space children are invited to study and experience a selected work in-depth, learning how to guide inquiry through deep observation and analysis. We then use the experience in the galleries as inspiration for creative-making activity inspired by the selected artwork.

This can be booked as an outing for school learners, school clubs or as a team-building  experience for leaners from Grades 4-10.
